Click on the correct location or locations in the exhibit. Which of these destination addresses does not require the use of the default gateway for a packet from this local host?
This question is a bit tricky. The DNS server is a different network. So the host has to go first to its default gateway in order to reach the DNS server. So the first IP to which it will go will be the default gateway. From that perspective the correct answer should be the IP of the default gateway.
From other side if the host wants to reach the DNS server , the destination IP will be the IP of the DNS server and the default gateway will be the destination MAC. So if we look from that perspective we can assume the IP of the DNS is the correct answer.
