I agree, LEAP allowed its mutual authentication transactions to be sent out in the clear and not in any encrypted form. PEAP was supposed to address this issue. Basically, PEAP encapsulates its EAP communication within a TLS tunnel and requires a certificate to only be installed on the authentication server for encryption.
Anybody comment whu its FAST ? As per one of the Cisco text i read :
Cisco, Microsoft and RSA Security are promoting a more secure version of EAP, Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP), as an Internet standard. That protocol is expected to displace LEAP.
Anybody else want to comment on this ?
