Refer to the exhibit. An engineer is implementing Auto-RP and reviewing the configuration of the PE-A. Which configuration permits Auto-RP messages to be forwarded over this interface?
Sparse-Dense Mode for Auto-RP
A prerequisite of Auto-RP is that all interfaces must be configured in sparse-dense mode using the ip pim sparse-dense-mode
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/15-2_2_e/multicast/configuration_guide/b_mc_1522e_3750x_3560x_cg/b_mc_3750x_3560x_chapter_010.html
Tested in the Lab; it works with ip pim sparse-mode under interface mode. Also missing Auto-RP configuration here or in another PE belonging VRF.
PE-A(config)#
ip pim vrf Customer-A send-rp-announce GigabitEthernet0/0 scope 16
ip pim vrf Customer -A send-rp-discovery GigabitEthernet0/0 scope 16
What difference does the VRF make? Please explain.
