sorry, 192.168.1.x or 192.168.2.x range of ip. with this placement they are able to communicate

C is correct, but in practice it would work, even with those subnet masks pca and vlan 300 are able to communicate. to make the question also in practice stick, it would have been ip for vlan 300 with ip in the 192.168.1.x or 192.168.1.x range of ip. with this placement they are able to communicate

Within subnet mask 255.255.252.0 the range IP is from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.3.255, so switch A thinks the entire range IP 192.168.2.x is its own IP. C is correct. the subnet mask must be fixed to 255.255.255.0
