Answer: D Explanation: - Router with the highest OSPF interface priority on a segment becomes the DR. This is provided using the interface command: ip ospf priority <0 - 255> The default OSPF priority is 1. - Router with the next highest OSPF interface priority becomes the BDR. - If router priorities are equal, the highest Router ID (RID) breaks the tie. - The OSPF Router ID for a router is found by: 1. The router-id <ip-address> config-router command. 2. If that doesn’t exist, then the highest IP address on a loopback is used. 3. If that doesn’t exist, then the highest IP address on an up physical is used.

Priority is 100 by default so you actually don't have to configure anything?

Sorry, default priority is 1, so you would need to configure.

This is not spanning tree protocol where 0 becomes the highest priority. In the case of OSPF, 0 means you will never be elected as DR or BDR. Default priority is 1.

Selected Answer: D
Highest Priority interface becomes the DR. So it would be 100 since it is higher than 99 in this case.

I would have thought setting the loopback on R3 with a higher priority of 100 would have got DR.Why choose setting the main interface with the higher priority?

Los routers en la red seleccionan como DR al router con la prioridad de interfaz más alta. El router con la segunda prioridad de interfaz más alta se elige como BDR.
