An administrator configures the voicemail feature in a Cisco collaboration deployment. The user mailboxes must be configured when the Cisco Unity Connection server is configured. Which action accomplishes this task?
A.
Configure an SCCP integration with Cisco UCM.
B.
Configure a SIP integration with Cisco UCM to sync users.
C.
Configure an AXL server to access the Cisco UCM users.
D.
Configure an active directory to sync the users who will have a voicemail box.
It is a question very tricky, it is not difficult, just take care with the semantics in each one of the answers:
A. and B. are incorrect, SCCP and SIP do not affect voicemail configuration.
Check the answer D. saying "...to sync the users WHO WILL have a voicemail...", it is incorrect: The LDAP synchronization process does not automatically import users from LDAP into the Cisco Unity Connection database. In order to import users, you must
select the template to use for applying the various features specific to Cisco Unity
Connection. By selecting a user template there, you not only select users with voicemail, rather you can select users with or without voicemail or just contacts, these task can not be performed just with sync. So, C. is incorrect.
ANd finally, C. is the closest answer, because for being a short and concrete answer, which is to access the Cisco UCM users and nothing else.
C. is correct.
In Unity Connection, users can be imported from two sources
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Active Directory (AD).
Users imported from CUCM are known as Administrative XML (AXL) imported users.
Users imported from Active Directory are known as Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) imported users.

SIP integration doesn't sync users automatically
AXL server can be configured in CUC and then sync CUCM users to it.
Another way is LDAP / AD configuration.
I would go for C to sync CUCM users, which may not be AD integrated.
