I think the correct answer should be AB. -The gateway vEdge uses HTTP to obtain SaaS application performance information - The client vEdge will use BFD over the IPSec tunnel to the gateway site to obtain client>gateway path performance information https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/solutions/CVD/SDWAN/CVD-SD-WAN-Cloud-onRamp-for-SaaS-Deployment-Guide-2018JUL.pdf

https://www.networkacademy.io/ccie-enterprise/sdwan/cloud-onramp-for-saas according to above site vedge use http ping to saas site for loss and latency that is option A and also vedge check tunnel health with gateway site with BFD that is option B

By design the c-edge router looks at the loss and latency on the paths of the gateway sites and calculates vQoe scores for each SaaS application and path based on that information. The VEdge router picks the optimal path via these methods So HTTPs to obtain SaaS application performance and BFD over IPSec tunnel to the gateway site (to obtain gateway path performance information) Option [A] and [B] Link Reference:- https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/solutions/CVD/SDWAN/CVD-SD-WAN-Cloud-onRamp-for-SaaS-Deployment-Guide-2018JUL.pdf (Page 4/6)

We dont ping the SaaS application, we send HTTP probes. BFD is used between the 2 WAN Edges as usual, and HTTP between the Gateway site and the SaaS app.
