the question said with all the hosts on a subnet not all the hosts in all network , the answer is true . the correct answer is D

It's broadcasts ... a subnet equals a BROADCAST Domain ... multicast on the other hand can be used acros multiple sub-nets and networks. And a Client must join a multicast group before he even listens for traffic that is send to the multicast group ...
