Configure the ITD Virtual IP Address
The ITD Virtual IP Address (VIP) must be in a different subnet than both the hosts and the nodes:
N7k-1(config-itd)# virtual ip 192.168.30.1 255.255.255.255 advertise enable
The ITD VIP is essentially a dummy interface from the Nexus 7000 perspective - for example, the switch does not respond to ping requests addressed to the VIP. It is used to match traffic against the route map that is automatically created and applied to the ITD ingress interface.
Tip: You will not be able to successfully ping the ITD VIP until the end nodes are configured with the VIP address.
