This makes me angry at Cisco. Why try and trick people!? Look at the word SOURCED not destined. Then you realize that it's the default internet address of 0.0.0.0. STATIC administrative distance is 1.

Because they want you to fail so you'll take the exam several times and they'll make more money...

I completely agree! 'Psychometric exams' are not learning re-enforcement! They are set up to confound.

The host 10.10.10.32 belongs to subnet 10.10.10.0/24 and the subnet is directly connected. The AD should be 0.

This is why more and more people hate Cisco. There are many questions in Cisco certification exams, that you cannot be guaranteed to get the credit even you clearly know the correct thing. This question is an example. You know traffic destined for the internet should go to the default gateway, shown as Gateway of last resort, IP address 0.0.0.0. You know S denotes static route. You know 172.16.2.2 is in the range of 172.16.2.0/23. You know C means connected. You know static route has an AD 1 while connected route has an AD 0. BUT, you don't know whether the question is asking for the former or the latter. You have to choose between 1 and 0 with uncertainty. You know all the technical things for this question, but you still have 50% chance to lose, because you have to guess Cisco's mind. Cisco fails you so that you have to pay them again.

The traffic will be routed through 0.0.0.0/0 but then 172.16.2.0/23, which is a connected route. The AD is 0, and not 1.

This is another question with unclear information. Traffic destined to the internet will use the static route 0.0.0.0/0, the AD of which is 1. However it will then rely on the connected route, the AD of which is 0. I know the answer for both, but which one does the CCNA examiner want to know??? Cisco just wants to fail people so that they can charge certification fee again and again.

172.16.2.2 is a subnet of 172.16.2.0/23 right? which is directly connected so admin distance is 0. what am I missing here?

Selected Answer: B
The administrative distance for the destination route is 1 because the gateway of last resort is configured with an administrative distance of 1 (indicated by the [1/0] in the routing table output) and the destination route for the Internet (0.0.0.0/0) is learned via that gateway. Therefore, the correct answer is B. 1.

"destined for the Internet" means it going through the gateway last resort which is a static route. AD of static route is 1

"A packet ... is destined for the Internet." it sould be 200.123.25.41 so it isn't directly connected but match with 0.0.0.0 the static route with AD =1

For this exam, all you have to understand is 0.0.0.0 means the internet. The first portion of the sentence is to throw you off balance. Just focus on the second portion of the question and you'll see that the AD is stated clearly 1.
