it is lingering C !!! maintains sessions for specified time after itis closed to be able to quickly be reopened.

BUT, Prelaunch Also has the setting for Lingering in a way, stated "If no application is started, when do you want prelaunched sessions to end?" Min/hours etc See bottom of page for Prelaunch and Lingering settings. https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/1912-ltsr/install-configure/delivery-groups-manage.html Also, you must be on VDA ver 7.6+ according to this URL if it's accurate. I was unable to test to validate due to being on 1811: https://www.jgspiers.com/citrix-application-session-prelaunch/#:~:text=The%20goal%20of%20prelaunch%20is,startup%20time%20is%20much%20faster.

No, because application prelaunch work when the session is closed. Application prelaunch open the applications 5, 10 or N minutes before the user log on in the Citrix portal.
