A user from a remote office is reporting slow file transfers. Which of the following tools will an engineer MOST likely use to get detailed measurement data?
B. iPerf.
iPerf is a tool used to measure network performance by generating traffic between two endpoints. It provides detailed information about network throughput, packet loss, and latency. In this case, an engineer can use iPerf to measure the performance of the network between the remote office and the central location to identify the cause of the slow file transfers. Packet capture can be used to analyze the network traffic, but it may not provide the detailed measurement data required to diagnose the issue. SIEM log review is not relevant for this scenario, and an internet speed test only measures the performance of the user's internet connection and not the network between the remote office and the central location.
Assuming he is trying to get the files internally. Because iperf needs a server and a client. Otherwise internet speed test is the option. I will choose iPerf because looks like that's what they want
Internet speed test probably isn't a good idea anyways because that only tells you the speed between you and a server that you choose from a list, which you don't know the specifications of. So you won't know if the low speed is coming from an issue on your end or if the server just has a slower connection.
I'm still learning so the above is just my understanding.
