Selected Answer: A
The scenario where an IP address is maintained despite a failing UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) that causes a workstation to restart several times suggests the use of: A. DHCP reservation A DHCP reservation is a configuration in a DHCP server that associates a specific IP address with the MAC address of a device. This ensures that the device, in this case, the workstation, always receives the same IP address when it requests an address from the DHCP server, even if it restarts multiple times. The DHCP reservation provides consistency and helps in scenarios where maintaining a consistent IP address for a specific device is essential. Options B (DHCP scope), C (Name server), and D (Root DNS server) are not directly related to the scenario described and are not mechanisms for associating a specific IP address with a particular device.

Selected Answer: A
DHCP Reservation - basically you reserve an address for a specific device, that address now only gets assigned to that device, in the event the device isn't online, it will not be reassigned to anyone else.

Selected Answer: A
DHCP Reservation essentially is what it sounds like. The DHCP reserves specific IP addresses for specific hosts, regardless of how many times a host is signed off, or in this case shutting down repeatedly, the host will always pop up the same IP address.
