A user is expecting a visit from a new customer, and the company's ADSL link has suddenly gone down. Which of the following should the user do to access a smartphone's 4G internet connection from the laptop?
A hotspot would be the best option because it provides internet access to the PC or laptop using a cellular network ( 4G = LTE) from a mobile phone ( smartphone in our case ).
I think that this would not be correct in our scenario unless you will download a virtual router app for Windows PC but in this case, we do not have the internet on your laptop to do it. I am sorry for the mistake but I think that option D is correct after reading the question again.
I agree that the phrasing of the question could be clearer. Indeed, both options B and D are viable solutions. The user has the choice to either enable the hotspot feature on their smartphone and connect the laptop via Wi-Fi, or they can connect the smartphone to the laptop using a USB cable to share the internet connection.
Change of mind. We use ADSL ( asymmetric digital subscriber line which means data transmission via copper-wired telephone cable ) rather than a wireless router. Tethering - providing a cellular connection from a smartphone 4G to a laptop by USB cable is a good option in our cases is good because we do not use a wireless router but an ASDL network. So actual option D seems most appropriate for this question.
