gpt: B. Latency To monitor and create alerts for fluctuations in round-trip time (which is a measure of latency), the network team should monitor latency. Latency represents the time it takes for data to travel from the source to the destination and back, essentially measuring the delay in network communication. Fluctuations in round-trip time can indicate network performance issues, congestion, or other problems that may affect the application's performance. Monitoring latency allows the network team to track and analyze the variations in round-trip time, enabling them to set thresholds for alerts when latency exceeds acceptable levels for the specific application. This proactive monitoring helps ensure optimal application performance and a good user experience.

Well latency is all about how long it takes a message / packet to reach its destination. So that has to be the right answer.

IMO, I think this question is missing a correct answer (answer key written wrong). If you look at the sentence here - fluctuations in round trip time - This is the definition of Jitter - variation in latency over time. IMO.
