-AD is correct The two best options to accomplish this objective are A. Load balancing and D. RAID. A. Load balancing: This involves distributing the load across multiple servers to improve performance and ensure high availability. If one server goes down, the others can handle the load, preventing any downtime. Load balancing can also improve fault tolerance by ensuring that no single point of failure exists in the system. D. RAID: Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) can improve server-data fault tolerance by using multiple disks to store data, providing redundancy in case one disk fails. RAID can be implemented in different levels, with each level providing a different balance between data redundancy and performance.

The best options to improve server-data fault tolerance and site availability under high consumer load are Load balancing and RAID. Load balancing involves distributing incoming network traffic across multiple servers to ensure that no single server is overloaded. By distributing traffic across multiple servers, load balancing improves both server-data fault tolerance and site availability under high consumer load. RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a data storage technology that uses multiple hard drives to improve data reliability and fault tolerance. By using multiple disks, RAID provides redundancy and helps ensure that data is not lost in the event of a disk failure.

Initial confusion of "outage" The term "outage" in the context of IT systems generally refers to the unavailability or downtime of services or systems. It can be caused by various factors, including both power outages and network congestion. In the question, it mentions "experiencing outages during holiday sales," which suggests that the organization is facing issues with system availability during high-demand periods. Therefore A is the correct answer not C Of course I hope everyone will agree with D cause of tolerance matter.

"...ensure availability of its point-of-sale systems." This should indicate C, UPS. If your cash registers are going down due to power issues, you have UPS. As for the second part, I think the key is "server-data fault tolerance" and this suggests to me D, RAID

the wording of "outage" can be tough to understand in this situation but after carefully reading the question multiple times and reading comments, I agree its AD. Outages in this case is due to availability. Its CompTIA's fault for wording these questions so poorly imo.

Nobody said anything about power... its a high customer demand problem not electricity

It doesn't say anything about power. It states there are outages. AD is the correct answer to prevent these outages.

You are missing the first line of the question - they have experienced power outages. Hence- load balancing for the load and Ups for fault tolerance

Taking it back. Outages don't have to be power outages. Outher sources confirm A & D
