An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides short-term power and can protect against power fluctuations. UPS systems give computing devices enough time to perform a logical shutdown or keep them powered until longer-term power systems come online.

Deploying an appropriately sized, network-connected UPS device would best meet the requirements as it can provide consistent power levels in case of brownouts or voltage spikes, a minimum of 30 minutes runtime following a power outage, and ability to trigger graceful shutdowns of critical systems. Surge suppressors may be used to protect computer equipment from power spikes, but do not provide power during an outage. A standby, gas-powered generator may provide power during an outage, but may not be cost-effective or efficient for the given requirements. Configuring managed PDUs to monitor power levels can help in monitoring power usage, but does not provide power during outages.

i agree with jskiff1, just wanted to add a voting comment. An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) uses a small battery (often the same type used in motorcycles) as a backup power source if the power ever sags or goes out completely. It’s very common to place a UPS at the bottom of an equipment rack, powering all the devices on the rack with quality, dependable power. A UPS is designed to power a system for a few minutes to enable an orderly shutdown.

D. Deploying an appropriately sized, network-connected UPS device. A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) device provides consistent power levels in case of brownouts or voltage spikes and can provide a minimum of 30 minutes runtime following a power outage. It also has the ability to trigger graceful shutdowns of critical systems. Received message. The best option to meet the requirements provided by the systems administrator would be **D. Deploying an appropriately sized, network-connected UPS device**. A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) device provides consistent power levels in case of brownouts or voltage spikes and can provide a minimum of 30 minutes runtime following a power outage. It also has the ability to trigger graceful shutdowns of critical systems.
