Selected Answer: A
Rendering applications require high graphical processing power, which a GPU passthrough can provide by allowing the virtual desktop to directly access a physical GPU. This significantly improves rendering speed, screen refresh rate, and overall performance in graphical applications.

Selected Answer: A
The issue described, where a rendering application is running slowly and screen refresh times are long, often points to a need for improved graphics processing capabilities. Therefore, the BEST solution in this scenario is: A. GPU passthrough Enabling GPU passthrough allows the virtual desktops to directly access a physical GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). This can significantly improve the performance of graphics-intensive applications like rendering software. With GPU passthrough, the virtual desktops can harness the power of dedicated graphics hardware, resulting in smoother and faster rendering.

While increasing memory (Option B) and adding an additional CPU core (Option D) can help with overall system performance, they may not directly address graphics-related issues. Converged infrastructure (Option C) typically refers to the integration of compute, storage, and networking components and might not directly resolve graphics performance issues unless the underlying hardware infrastructure is causing bottlenecks. In this context, enabling GPU passthrough is the most targeted and effective solution.

Changing my answer to "A". Given the environment, either increasing CPU, memory or GPU resources could improve rendering, but I think CompTia is keeping it basic here and they just want you to know that the GPU is primarily responsible for rendering.

Many online resources (one example below), always list memory as the first thing to check / increase when dealing with rendering issues. https://www.crowd-render.com/single-post/rendering-ram-how-does-frequency-number-of-channels-and-capacity-affect-ray-tracing-in-blender Best answer, in my opinion, is "B".
