Selected Answer: C
C. A next-generation firewall A next-generation firewall (NGFW) offers advanced capabilities, including application awareness, protocol inspection, intrusion prevention, and deep packet inspection. These features make NGFWs well-suited to identify and block malicious actors misusing protocols and ensure that they do not bypass network defenses.

Selected Answer: B
A Web Application Firewall (WAF) is a security solution specifically designed to protect web applications from various web-based threats, including attacks that misuse protocols. It sits between the user's browser and the web server, inspecting HTTP/HTTPS requests and responses.

I would say C, a next generation firewall works up to layer 7. In the question there is no mentioning of web applications. The question focusses on network.
