A is correct To resolve the issue of new memory modules not being recognized, the systems administrator should configure appropriate settings within the BIOS. This can include enabling memory mapping or setting memory speed and timings. References: CompTIA A+ Certification Exam Objectives, 220-1001 Section 1.8 Configure appropriate settings within the BIOS. If new memory modules were installed in several Windows desktops but some users are still reporting performance issues and the desktop has not recognized the new memory modules, the systems administrator should configure appropriate settings within the BIOS to help resolve this issue.

Selected Answer: A
A is correct, By accessing the BIOS settings, the administrator can ensure that the system detects and properly utilizes the newly installed memory modules. B. Replace the RAM: This option assumes that the newly installed memory modules are faulty, but it's premature to replace them without first checking BIOS settings. C. Modify the boot.ini file: Modifying boot.ini is unrelated to recognizing new memory modules and can potentially cause boot issues if done incorrectly. D. Install the required drivers through the Control Panel: Memory modules don't require drivers to be installed, so this option is irrelevant.

from my knowledge, RAM drivers do not exist. A is the only other answer that seems to make sense.

Ram drivers? unheard of. Configuring timings and speed in the bios? sounds more accurate

I didnt even know you can update your RAM cards. Not sure what updating a RAM will do because it has a fixed max speed/latency on it. Updating the motherboard? maybe, but it seem more simple for A because you can check if the RAM are in the right slots. Different motherboard have single/dual/triple/quad channel. so that mean the user could have but the RAM stick in the wrong slot = maybe some RAM cards are not running.
