Selected Answer: C
Order of change management phases: 1. Request forms 2. Purpose of change 3. Scope of the change 4. Date and Time of the change 5. Affective systems/ impact 6. Risk analysis 7. Change board approval 8. Finally end user acceptance. You would do #6 before #7. This question says "immediately" stating what is the step to be taken RIGHT BEFORE it is allowed on the network (approved). I'm going with Risk analysis - C.

I tend to agree - however - shouldn't you technically do #4 first? It comes before #6 and wasn't mentioned that it has been done yet. Sounds like CompTIA trying to "get" us.

On further review - a change request form has not been filed yet. That is step 1.

I believe the key word here is "immediately before network use is authorized" This implies we are at the end of the change management process, which should involve risk analysis and then approval.

Other options may be applicable as part of the network change process, but they are not the first steps before allowing a new printer to use the network.

The logical step is to understand the risks associated with the change, what precautions need to be taken and what steps are necessary to mitigate risk.

The change request form should have all the info needed for the board to make an approval no? So you determine the risk level before you submit the request as the risks should be in the request form. Or do you submit the request and after approval you do the assesment? Doesn't sound logical. I will go for C here.
