Selected Answer: C
the troubleshooting steps should start with re-install and update, software can have memory leaks or other issues that cause it to use more memory than it should, leading to low memory warnings

Which should they do NEXT. It is likely that the application has a memory leak issue which could be resolved by reinstalling and updating. While the issue could be the RAM, it is not the NEXT thing you should do.

Before a drastic change like replacing RAM we have to reinstall and update the software. The application can have a memory leak. Check out: Professor Messer Troubleshooting Solutions – CompTIA A+ 220-1102 Timestamp: 0:30

B. Replace the system RAM. If the system is consistently running out of memory and displaying a "low memory" warning message, it suggests that the available RAM may be insufficient to handle the demands of the software being used. By replacing the system RAM with a higher capacity or better-performing RAM module, the technician can address the memory-related issues and potentially resolve the intermittent crashes of the proprietary software. Reimaging the computer (option A) or reinstalling and updating the failing software (option C) may not address the underlying hardware issue causing the memory shortage. Decreasing the page file size (option D) may alleviate some memory pressure but is unlikely to fully resolve the issue if the system's RAM is inadequate for the software's requirements. Therefore, replacing the system RAM is the most appropriate next step in troubleshooting the problem.

Bad question. It says to replace the RAM - but does that mean upgrading it or replacing with the same assuming the old is defective? If it's an upgrade, that should be the answer - if not, C is the only other possible answer

B. Replace the system RAM. If a user is experiencing intermittent crashes and low memory warnings, it's possible that the system's RAM (Random Access Memory) may be faulty or insufficient for the tasks being performed. Before trying to reimage the computer (A), reinstall and update the software (C), or make changes to the page file size (D), it's important to ensure that the system's hardware, particularly the RAM, is functioning correctly. Replacing or upgrading the RAM can help resolve memory-related issues and improve system stability.

That's not the NEXT thing to do, it should be the last after re-installing and updating the software. The key work is ''next step''

its not related with the software itself, there is low memory period. Check the RAM, B.

It says "replace" system ram. You wouldn't need to replace the RAM, you would need to upgrade. For that reason, C is the best option.

How can reinstalling and updating the software be a logical solution if the problem is low RAM?

Applications can have memory leaks, leading to your system running out of RAM while it is running.
