how are you going to shred a flash drive or SSD? It says physical destruction VIA shredding, not physical destruction OR shredding.

degaussing does not work on an SSD, so 5 should be under shredding as well. not sure about category, might be PII but CC is possible as well.

scratch this comment - unless it's Secure Wipe, artifacts from marked sectors/sections can remain. multi-wipe is out as a means of destruction

5 is PII not CC. Employees records are PII. Anything that can be used to identify a person uniquely (by itself or in conjunction with other information) is considered PII. The employees records usually include names, addresses, Tax information, bank accounts no., Employer Identification Numbers, education. They are even classified as ''Sensitive PII''.

There is no "Public" data. My Pick is: PII >> 3, 5 PHI >> 6 IP >> 4 CC >> 1, 2 Public> ----------------- Degaussing >> 3, 4 Shredding >> 2, 5, 6

What I came up with PII >> 3, 5 PHI >> 6 IP >> 4 CC >> 1 Public> 2 ----------------- Degaussing, Multipass Wipe >> 2,3,4,5 Shredding >> 1,6 Since you wouldn't both degauss and wipe a drive (it's either/or) and flash drives (be it USB or SSD) can be wiped via multi-pass, I kept 2 & 5 at the top, though, it would probably be more prudent to shred them (naturally 1&6 are paper documents, so a no-brainer).

I'm 100% confident of the Data Classifications, however, I'm revising destruction to 3,4 (degauss or multi-pass wipe) 1,2,5,6 (physical destruction/shredding) Unless you do a Secure Wipe with an SSD, remnants will remain (and artifacts be recoverable) due to the nature of how SSDs handle wear-leveling (just because a section is marked as suspect, doesn't mean it won't still be able to retain the data in that section or sections). Thumb drives are cheap and not worth doing a wipe on (you can't degauss them either), so into the shredder they go.

This was in the exam. All the questions were from 1-849. Make sure to understand the questions and the answers. Look it up and study all the details of every question. Don't just memorize it. Understand it and think how you an deploy or use at your work or in enterprise. Exam taken on Mar 2024.

Maybe this is one of PBQs why I haven't heard anyone yet who took the exam scored above 850. A tricky question for "MOST appropriate form of disposal". I checked on Prof. Messer's video -- you can pretty much SHRED or PULVERIZED anything for complete destruction. Do not think of shredding like paper shredding but industrial shredder. So I ill pick ALL to SHRED.

PII > 3 PHI >> 6 IP >> 4 CC >> 1 and 5 Public > 3 like DashRyde says Degaussing >> 3, 4 Shredding >> 1, 2, ,5 ,6 i would shred everything but i guess we need to choose the other option too so. (2) Flash drive can only be shredded, (5) SSD too because. Where you can too both with (4)Hard Drive and a (3) backup tape. (1 and 6) are paper Documents i would even burn them :D. Good luck !

Using a multi-pass wipe on SSDs or USB flash drives can be effective and done by overwriting it with multiple patterns of data. tricky question can be both like Degaussing or shredding

I took my test 12/16/23 and scored 829/900. This PBQ was on my exam, and I did not miss any questions in the 2.7 OBJ. So I am fairly confident that I answered this correctly. PII-3 PHI-6 IP-4 CC-1, 5 Pub-2 Degaussing/Wiping-3, 5 Shredding- 1, 2, 4, 6

This question was on my exam too. Just passed it today 11/15/23 ....800/900 score. Almost all the question on the exam were from here. You're in the right place guys. These are the real exam questions. Let no one tell you otherwise! There's no reason why you should pass if you study the question in this dump.
