Has to be C. 10GBASE-LR - up to 10km A. 10GBASE-SR - up to 300 meters B. 10,000BASE-LX doesn't exist D. 1000BASE-SX - up to 550 meters

C. 10GBASE-LR One thing to be aware of in this type of question which may be why the answer differs, is 10KM or 6.2mi is the longest, effective, continuous, distance. If the cable runs it's longest, continuous, effective range, you may need to put in a switch in order to extend the distance into each MDF. Additionally, that is the theoretical continuous, effective distance, much like 100M for Ethernet cable. The concern is, if you have buildings that are 100M apart, you would certainly need MORE than 100M of Ethernet cable. I am wondering if maybe this question is referencing something similar.

The answer is 10GBASE-LR. The maximum distance for 10GBASE-LR (Long Range) is typically 10 kilometers (approximately 6.2 miles).

Selected Answer: C
Given the distance of 6.2 miles (10 km) between the primary and alternate data centers, the best choice for the SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) module is: C. 10GBASE-LR The "LR" in 10GBASE-LR stands for "Long Range," and it is designed for longer-distance connections, typically reaching up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber. In this scenario, where the data centers are 6.2 miles (10 km) apart and connected via fiber, the 10GBASE-LR SFP module is the most suitable choice for ensuring reliable and high-speed connectivity between the two locations.

It's A for the simple fact that 10GBASE-SR is for short range and the distance between the connections is short range >=10km.

C. 10GBASE-LR. 10GBASE-LR SFP transceivers are designed for long-range transmissions over single-mode fiber optics and can support connections over distances of up to 10 kilometers, making them the appropriate choice for this scenario where the data centers are 6.2 miles apart. These transceivers are specifically engineered for longer distances and are suitable for interconnecting data centers across greater distances.

Selected Answer: C
For a distance of 6.2 miles (10km) between data centers, the most suitable SFP type would be 10GBASE-LR (C), which is designed for long-range connections over single-mode fiber.
