A network administrator creates a new network, 10.10.0.0/24, on a DHCP server. The administrator wants to ensure that 10.10.0.10-10.10.0.15 are not allocated to other devices. Which of the following features should the administrator configure?
Access the DHCP server: Open the DHCP management console.
Select the scope: Choose the scope where you want to reserve the IP addresses.
Add a reservation: Specify the IP address you want to reserve, along with the MAC address of the device that should receive this IP address.
By using reservations, you can ensure that the IP addresses 10.10.0.10-10.10.0.15 are assigned only to the specific devices you designate and not to OTHER
devices.
B - Reservation. if you want to make sure an IP is not assigned to another device you would use Reservation. I might be wrong here but if you use Exclusion the IPs are not being allocated at all, right?
reservation is for when you want said ip addresses to be assigned to the same devices over and over eg printer. exclusion just exempts it from the dhcp pool
A. Exclusion
To ensure that specific IP addresses within a DHCP scope are not allocated to other devices, a network administrator should configure an "Exclusion." Exclusions are used to specify a range of IP addresses that should not be assigned by the DHCP server.
So, the correct answer is A. Exclusion.
