A. The controller has disabled the write cache. When the battery fails, the RAID controller may disable its write cache to prevent data loss in the event of a power failure. Without the cache, every write operation has to be fully completed on the disk before proceeding, significantly slowing down disk operations.

A. The controller has disabled the write cache. Battery has a cache that can be used to store data before being wrote onto disk. If battery fails this cache is disabled to avoid data loss incase of a power outage.
