I know right! I am very lost too, so are we only meant to use the 'System Error' Tab and select those values? I really hope this question doesn't come up lol

Please note that the .dll file needs to be pulled from PC02 to PC01(where the issue is). So robocopy is the right path used ('\\source-PC02' to '/destination'). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The selected Answer by helpnow is correct... Select Event Viewer Issue: 2187 Select First Command: copy "C:\Program Files\Testing\msvcp100.dll" "\\User-PC02\C$\Windows\System32" Select Second Command: regsvr32 msvcp100.dll

The first one should be 2190. You can see that in the Event Viewer, this is when the application crashes and where you will also see why it crashed, although in this case it's pretty obvious, since you get an actual popup. What happened? MSVCP100.dll probably got corrupt, which is part of VC++ 2012 redistributables. The tech's idea here (bit idiotic to be fair, reinstalling VC++ would probably just be easier) is to copy that dll from another workstation and register it on the system again. Which brings us to why the second answer is wrong. Not only it's copying to a remote PC instead of the local one, but the UNC path is wrong, you can see it starts with a single backslash, so it will NOT work. The proper command is the Robocopy one: robocopy source destination file Once the dll is copied, you run regsvr32 to register the dll on the system, which will get rid of the error. The only thing that really bugs me here, is that the dll should probably be thrown into the system32 folder, but well, given the options, it's what it is.

Last write time for the Testing folder is folder is 10:29 am, which is why 2187 was chosen. But since the question is only about fixing Testing program I think ur right it should be 2190

So this is the right approach? 2190, Robocopy, regsvr32?

\\server-name\shared-resource-pathname is for robocopy The double backslash (\\) is used in Windows commands to specify network paths rather than local paths but the c:\ drive does include the testing directory, so we are assuming it's not local, therefore wrong and it has to robocopy because it uses a network path? >then The regsvr32 command in Windows is used to register or unregister DLL (Dynamic Link Library) and ActiveX (OCX) control files within the Windows registry. This command is essential when certain programs or system components need to use these files but cannot locate them without registration

I've only seen people say Copy is actually the right move but would love to be corrected, same with 2187 being selected

Well. I ended up passing with a 733. I went with this guys answer of 2190, Robocopy, regsvr32. I would still recommend watching all of prof messer videos to study + dion practice tests along with messers if you can afford them. God speed.

Why would you choose Index 2187 instead of 2190 in Event Viewer?
