A systems administrator wants to implement a backup solution. The solution needs to allow recovery of the entire system, including the operating system, in case of a disaster. Which of the following backup types should the administrator consider?
D. Image
For a backup solution that allows the recovery of the entire system, including the operating system, in case of a disaster, the administrator should consider using an "Image" backup. Image backups create a complete snapshot or image of the entire system, including the operating system, applications, settings, and data.
D. Image
An image is a duplicate of an operating system installation (including installed software, settings, and user data) stored on removable media. Imaging allows the system to be redeployed quickly without having to reinstall third-party software, patches, and configuration settings.
incremental and differential does restore data, but it needs a full data backup and in the answer it doesn't state a full backup with it. the only answer i see is a image backup.
A system image backup is essentially a complete snapshot of an entire hard drive. The advantage of a system image is that if a hard drive crashes, you can replace it, restore the image, and have your system right back to where it was when the image was captured. No need to reinstall Windows or your apps.
