A user receives a call from someone claiming to be a technical support agent. The caller asks the user to log in to the computer. Which of the following security measures should the user take to ensure security and privacy?
A.
If you're receiving a call from IT claiming that they're a support person, you should definitely verify their identity, especially if they want to remote into your computer lol.
Also, even if you hypothetically enabled 2FA, what good is that if you actually believe the person on the other end of the phone is legitimate?
Long story short: trust, but always verify before giving anyone access to your devices
I think it should be A they dont know who the call is coming from. Sure Enabling two factor authentication is a best way to protect an account but this question isnt talking about an account it is talking about the phone call of SOMEONE CLAIMING to be a tech support agent. They dont know them. The answer is correct A.
This is nonsense. If this caller was a scammer - what info could they get by the user logging in? They haven't remoted in and can't see the screen. D is the only one that is close I guess.
