Selected Answer: C
Driver updates are important, and yes, they help with vulnerabilities. But when the goal is to comply with server hardening policy, C. OS security updates is the more complete and expected answer. Driver updates = make the hardware work securely OS security updates = make the whole system secure and compliant with hardening policies

Server hardening means securing server from cyber attacks. if the new components such as motherboard, ram or processors added to the server so its the first rule to have updated drivers for all the new components installed in the server. But to follow the company's procedure to secure server, the i think security patch/updates is the necessary step to do in this question. so in my view OS updates is the answer

C. OS security updates In this scenario, the mission-critical server has had new components added to it, which may introduce potential security vulnerabilities. To ensure the server remains secure and compliant with corporate policies, it's crucial to apply OS security updates. These updates include patches, fixes, and security enhancements provided by the operating system vendor to address known vulnerabilities and strengthen the overall security posture of the system. Hardening requirements typically involve keeping the system up to date with the latest security patches to mitigate the risk of exploitation by malicious actors. While definition, driver, and application updates are also important for maintaining system integrity and functionality, OS security updates are paramount for addressing security vulnerabilities and maintaining server hardening standards.

No. Adding components will not magically make new OS security updates appear. What you need though, is drivers that are up-to-date so that potential old security holes are patched. The answer is B
