Warm sites are disaster recovery solutions that have the necessary telecommunications and IT infrastructure but do not have live data. Equipment, including servers and networking hardware, may be present but not fully configured. Warm sites require a short period to become fully operational, making them a middle ground between the faster recovery times of a hot site (which is fully operational and continuously providing services) and the slower recovery time of a cold site (which has basic facilities but no technology until moved there).
