The scenario itself if fine, the question you are right is a bit stupid... In my opinion the question is not clear if we are asked what is needed from Admin/VM perspective to complete the task OR what is needed from technician/Thin client perspective. If it is the thin client perspective I'm not sure if installing application is his task. And finally if connecting mouse and keyboard is one correct taks why not connecting the monitor. A thinclient with keyboard and mouse, net access but without monitor is useless. If the focus is on the admin, it should be OS installing, Application and system updates. Any thoughts/comments?

Looks like the answers target the server; all are in singular, not plural for thin-client computers (plural). Tricky, no?

the focus is to access this VM, so you need C D G to access the VM, which are keyboard, mouse, monitor and network.

CDG -- The last thing mentioned in the question is “A technician is setting up thin-client computers.” Thin clients require a mouse, keyboard, monitor, and a network connection to the VM host. So need the following: C. Install a USB keyboard and mouse. D. Connect the device to the network. G. Connect the device to a monitor.

Yes very simple question but worng answers... C D G are correct: Admin is settings up a thin client, wich has an embedded system, and it has no HDD... so... you just need hardware to connect to an hypervisor running VM inside. Apps, OS and printers are inside the VM not in the thin client!

The Server Admin already SETUP the VM, so, we are talking about the 3 things the tech should do. Would the client side tech insall system updates and apps? Or just setup the then client? If I get this question on the exam, I am going with C, D, and G. All those things have to be done even if its up to the tech to install the apps and updates next.

so, I know some thin clients have an OS, but mostly it's just a hardware version of a browser. So, I did chose C, D, and G. Based on that assumption

The thing that makes me see why DEH would be correct instead of CDG, is that they don't just say 'A technician is setting up thin clients', it's specifically 'to access this VM'. So the hardware part- C and G- don't seem to be the focus; it's specifically the tasks needed for the task of connecting them to the VM, which would be DEH. Absurd question though, what is the point of these questions with multiple correct answers and vague wording...

Does anyone know for sure if they're talking about the thin clients or the VM? To me it seems like the VM has already been set up, while they refer to the set up of the thin clients in present tense.

I think since the admin already "set up" (past tense) his vm, and the tech is in the process of "setting up" (present tense), it would be cdg the hardware needed for the thin clients

answer is CDG..... lets break the question into two sessions, firs one is the duty of the admin the second the duty of the technician, 1. the admin rolls out patches, updates, installs OS, installs the drivers and all that reguarly per system policy. 2. the technnician, THIN CLIENT is the most convenient and cheapest VMachine out there today, for a user (eg the lab scientist) to make use of it they would need monitor, keyboard, mouse installed and also network accessibility to be able to make use of the Virtual desktop. i hope this answers it.

This question in hardware part, so I think an server administrator has already installed OS and apps on VM. A technician only should physically connect all devices and check VM is working. My answer - C, D, G

1st off I would install the OS make sure I had the latest drivers and patches then install any apps. Since the clients are thin apps would reside on server and only results would be sent back to client.
