Data Loss Prevention (DLP) monitors data transmitted externally from an organization with the goal of preventing the release of sensitive or Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
The ability to detect “account numbers, sensitive phrases, and other forms of PII” as described in the problem statement is truly a key function of DLP.
