A. Disconnect external storage.
Before taking any drastic measures like flashing the BIOS or replacing hardware, it's important to rule out simple issues. External storage devices can sometimes interfere with the boot process, especially if they are configured to boot before the internal hard drive.
By disconnecting all external storage devices, the technician can ensure that the system is attempting to boot from the correct internal drive. If the issue persists after disconnecting external storage, the technician can then move on to more complex troubleshooting steps.
