Had one that looked EXACTLY like this yesterday, saved this for last, ran out of time, unless you have muscle memory of doing this and under pressure you're going to spin your wheels I burned 10 min on this one. You get a black terminal screen that's it. When you type "help" you see 4 commands the interfaces, arp, mac address table, and vlan... So if you really want to pass this one I would suggest you have to make a fake topology on cisco with that free tool they have and then practice, looking at how to find the mac, how to find the IP, how to find what interface and what vlan the PCS, swtich, router they give you are using/on/connected. Or you can just screw it, bomb it, and still pass if you do good on the other questions. Best of luck. Memorize "Exotic Indian Oval Rubies" 90 EIGRP, 100 IGRP, 110

okay, I did what Pancho recommended. I'd also recommend using 'Packet tracer' to practice. Someone correct me but I think I got it. 1. 'ipconfig /all' on the computers. This will show you it's ipaddress and mac address. 2. 'show mac address table(also try show mac-address-table, the dash maybe required for the test but it really shouldn't anyways.) This will show the mac addresses that the switches have and the PORT that corresponds with the mac address. 3. 'show vlan' This will show the vlans and which ports are on what vlan. Also Pancho or someone who knows. I am guessing it's the admin distance of the protocols? but it's not even part of the question? What did he mean by ""Exotic Indian Oval Rubies" 90 EIGRP, 100 IGRP, 110"

You're on the right track but remember 'ipconfig /all' is a Windows cmd. We are using the command line for a cisco switch. So instead of using ipconfig try using 'show ip interface brief' or 'show running-config'. I plan to use: show ip interface brief show interface show mac address-table show arp show vlan Also, I am not sure what Pancho meant about the Exotic Indian Oval Rubies either.

oh and could use 'show interface' on the switch as well I guess if you need but I think the port is the interface? e.g. All ports are interfaces but not all interfaces are ports? so... but someone please correct me, just trying my best and for everyone

show mac-address table and show arp would be good, compare to the answers pregiven like PC1 and refer to the address table it pretty much tells you the answer to the questions

Huh. show mac-address-table is an old Cisco command. Surprised they haven't gone to show mac address-table. I suppose maybe they have super old switches in the scenario.
