yeah i agree should be 026. For User (Owner): 6 - 6 = 0 For Group: 6 - 4 = 2 For Others: 6 - 0 = 6

666 is default permission for files 777 is default permission for dir. 640 is the desired permission 666-640 = 026 @sterguy is right!
