/25 in binary looks like this...11111111.11111111.11111111.10000000...if you count all the ones it adds up to 255.255.255.128

You can also subtract 25 bits from 32 bits, which equals 7. This gives you 7 bits leftover. Your 7 is your power, therefore 2^7 = 128 Doing in binary may be easier, but this is how it made sense to do the math in my head.
