A user logs on a PC and receives a message stating there is a duplicate IP address on the network. After a system restart, the user notices the same error. Which of the following is the MOST probable cause of the error?
uhmmm.. seems simple but I don't have all info I require: could be C. the answer do not tells me if there's a DHCP on the prsent network... so the user can be move from one office using static IP to another office .
most likely the DHCP server already assigned the IP address to another device on the network, and the computer is set to the IP address of one of the devices which in turn you would get duplicate error. To fix this change the computer network setting to DHCP. answer is right
