The error they receive is really vague, but couldn't it be any of these?

Agreed, it's a bad question. My thinking is that because it's a new site then it's probably a new cert too (thus likely not revoked or expired yet) and it just seems unlikely that an unsigned cert would be used for public sites, leaving A as the *most* likely
