I've realized that the questions related with 'what the technician would do next' implies an extra revision instead of changing something that would cost time or money and will possibly needs to be taken but AFTER exhausting revisions.

Most real life problems on the workfloor usually relate to the simple answers, ex: a cable is not fit correctly.

So the key words that helped me are "the user claims nothing has changed"... but as a technician you still have to check everything yourself by physical examination of the WS and printer for obvious issues.
