I think this should be Out-of-band, SSH doesn't work when error happened on WAN.

Selected Answer: C
As most of the comment I saw, I also think the correct answer is C Out Of Band, because SSH will not work when the WAN is down/not available

Out-of-band (OOB) management is a method of remotely controlling and managing critical IT assets and network equipment using a secure connection through a secondary interface that is physically separate from the primary network connection. This enables administrators to gain control even during infrastructure faults.

When a dedicated channel is established for managing network devices, it is known as out-of-band management. A connection can be established via a console router, or modem, and this can be used to ensure management connectivity independent of the status of in-band network connectivity (which would include serial port connections, VNC, and SSH). Out-of-band management lets the administrator monitor, access, and manage network infrastructure devices remotely and securely, even when everything else is down

I suppose SSH works over dial-up. Right?

No SSH when WAN isn’t available just to clarify things, so out-of-band is the correct answer

The answer IS SSH because the ISP technician is remotely configuring the device and needs secure connection to the device, the connection would already be an OOB connection, but SSH specifies that connection will be a secure one.

Edit: OOB is when you physically connect a cable to the router to configure it, the ISP technician is remotely accessing the router.

OOB can be remote. https://www.digi.com/solutions/by-technology/out-of-band-management And the question doesn't specify a secure connection, just something that will facilitate a connection.

I see no reason why OOB would be wrong or any situation where SSH would be 100% correct. I am going with OOB

I believe the answer should be C Out of Band, however, since it is a remote connection, CompTIA wants secure remote connection therefore SSH into the router to manage it
