A technician is setting up a new workstation. The technician wants to make sure the workstation will not load the OS if a portable hard drive is connected to it. Which of the following should the technician configure?
Legacy mode will prevent hard drives that are not in the boot list from working and the workstation will not load. Secure boot is part of UEFI bios and it will work if we use UEFI which has secure boot. So we must choose Legacy mode to prevent a portable hard drive from working.
Seems like abit of a crappy question since both Secure Boot and Legacy mode are apparently correct. Had to google to figure out what Legacy mode actually is, but according to that if USB Legacy Support is disabled then the computer may not boot correctly when external hard drives are connected. Seems abit silly though that that would be the answer CompTIA wants instead of Secure Boot which is something that has actually been covered in the course material.
