24-pin ATX motherboard power plug; pins 11, 12, 23 and 24 form a detachable separate four-pin plug, making it backward-compatible with 20-pin ATX receptacles

This is the reason that 24 pin adapter is correct for the other question and molex is wrong, P4 is specialized 12v x 2 only(2 yellow wires) connector, while a Molex connector usually has both 12v(yellow) and 5 v(red) wires on it.
This same question displays Molex connector as an option on other sites and even one on this site when I looked it up. Not sure why that choice is not in this question.
because molex is not a correct answer for the other question either... they are both "24 pin adapter" because the P4 is pared with the 20 pin plug to make the 24 pin adapter.
The last 4 pins on the 24p connector for mobo power is a 4p, no different than the cpu 4p connector. Molex is technically a 4 pin connector with 12v on the rail, but not refered to as 4p
P4 connector. These plugs are used to connect motherboards with onboard CPUs to power supplies while EIDE port is an enhanced version of the old IDE peripheral connection standard commonly used for hard drives and other storage media with computers. I think correct answer is well Molex or in this scenario 24 pin connector.
