Selected Answer: B
Typically you want to look for user error first before you inspect the actual device. In this case, you want to make sure you properly secure the cable between the laptop and the projector (a pretty common issue with VGA and DVI).

I was taught to check in order of the least effort and changes. The lens cap is off, why not just check if the bulb illuminates when you turn on the projector. C is the best answer. If the lens cap was already removed and I wasn't anywhere near the bulb I would check the wires in that scenario.

I can why you would pick C but I think the answer is still B. Typically you want to look for user error first before you inspect the actual device. In this case, you want to make sure you properly secure the cable between the laptop and the projector (a pretty common issue with VGA and DVI).
