The answer is C) Database backup. What is exported is the whole database for backup purposes, that's why is made at night (nightly) when no one is working in the database. If it was for report purposes wouldn't be made at day (daily) ?

What is exported is the inventory database, not the inventory. I think the choice of word ("export") is not the best but still correct. You export a copy of the inventory database from the database management system, for backup purposes. I feel the provided answer is correct.

Exports of inventory is a form of report rather of a backup.
