A is correct for 2 reasons 1- we should use DDR3 2- DIMM is for servers SOdimm for laptops

I think it's "A" because 1) SoDIMM - DIMM for laptops 2) DDR3 3) Theoretically you can use same size and speed for DUAL channel but in this scenario you are given i think DUAL channel is hard to achieve. ans is A as current is DDR3 SODIMM. therefore, need a DDR3 SODIMM too which based on the option, it left with A. We cant fit DDR4 into DDR3.

How is it A, when that's less GB? . 8GB DDR4 SoDIMM Should be the answer.. Anyone else can verify

No it's A, DDR3 slots cannot hold DDR4 rams.
