QSFP+ is an evolution of QSFP (quad small form-factor pluggable). QSFP can carry 4 channels simultaneously and each channel can handle 1 Gbit/s data rate- hence the name Quad SFP. Unlike QSFP, QSFP+ supports 4x 10 Gbit/s channels. And the 4 channels can be combined into a single 40 Gigabit Ethernet link.
Its QSFP+
SPF+: SPF+ transceivers are physically smaller and are commonly used for 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connections.
QSFP+: QSFP+ transceivers are larger than SPF+ transceivers and are designed for much higher data rates, such as 40GbE and 100GbE connections.
QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) is a type of transceiver that supports data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps. It is an upgraded version of the original QSFP transceiver, which supports up to 4 Gbps.
SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) is another type of transceiver that supports data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps. It is an upgraded version of the original SFP transceiver, which supports up to 1 Gbps.
So, QSFP+ has higher data transfer capability compared to SFP+ and SFP.
