Selected Answer: A
NIC teaming (also known as network interface card teaming or link aggregation) is a technique that allows multiple network interface cards (NICs) to be combined into a single logical interface. By using NIC teaming, the file server can be connected to the network through multiple physical connections, providing redundancy and increasing bandwidth. If one of the NICs or ports fails, the remaining NICs can continue to handle network traffic, ensuring that the file server remains connected to the LAN. This helps to improve network reliability and availability, and reduces the risk of downtime.

Implement load balancing & provide high availability if deploying a new web-based application to company's intranet & you need to prevent database server from becoming overloaded by the number of requests from users. Adding this device will allow the delivery team to install a series of database servers to handle the requests by dividing the incoming requests among the various servers. NIC teaming would be an action that occurs on the database server itself. It is not a separate device.

NIC teaming, also known as network interface card (NIC) bonding or aggregation, allows multiple network interface cards (NICs) to be grouped together to form a single logical interface. This provides redundancy and increased throughput. In the event of a port failure on a switch, NIC teaming ensures that the server remains connected to the LAN through the remaining functional ports. If one port fails, traffic can automatically failover to the other NICs in the team, maintaining connectivity and minimizing downtime.

Agree with A being correct answer here. Answer is NOT Load Balancing as it references port failure (NIC)

"still connected to a LAN even in the event of a port failure on a switch" This has nothing at all to do with RAID. It is A.

I'm going to need you to explain how a RAID array is going to keep a server connected to the switch if one of the ports fails. Im going with NIC Teaming as its for fault tolerance

The question is asking about port failure on a switch. this the answer is NIC teaming. Had the question been asking about a hard drive failure then RAID would be correct.
