The key word is cable modem, which is why I automatically thought Coaxial was the correct answer.

Right away I thought coaxial too. I had to reread why did I think it's coaxial. Lol and well that's exactly right. Cable modem first thought is coaxial cable

In this time and age small office and home modems will require you to connect your modem to an ISP via fibre because ISPs have moved to the fibre-to-home mode of connection.
