Bandwidth management is the process of measuring and controlling the communications (traffic, packets) on a network link, to avoid filling the link to capacity or overfilling the link, which would result in network congestion and poor performance of the network.
The answer is A. Reason is that Bandwidth management is there to limit the maximum amount a user can use per connection. Load Balancing is there to split the load of the amount of connected users between 2 or more routers as to not overload the network.
Layer 2 Quality of Service (QoS) allows for traffic prioritization & Bandwidth Management to minimize network delay using Cost of Service (CoS) classification, & Differentiated Services Code Point DSCP marking under the 802.1p standard. Layer 3 Quality of Service (QoS) allows for managing the quality of network connections through its packet routing decisions.
Load balance routing (Option B) is a technique used to distribute network traffic across multiple servers to ensure that no single server bears too much demand. This helps to increase the reliability and availability of applications. However, it does not prioritize Internet usage per application and per user on the network. That's the job of bandwidth management (Option A), which can allocate network resources to ensure critical applications get the bandwidth they need.
Bandwidth management is used to prioritize Internet usage per application and per user on the network. It allows network administrators to allocate and control the available network bandwidth for different applications and users based on their specific needs or priorities. This helps in ensuring that critical applications or users receive the necessary bandwidth while preventing non-essential applications from consuming excessive resources.
BW management, for lan users and lan applications - example WAP setup SSID and limit BW to 2meg for BOYD devices. option is is load balancing ROUTING, we not routing on the LAN yet, were setting policies on the LAN.
Bandwidth management focuses on the availabliilty of the whole network. It looks like this could be LB routing since you can refine how you want to prioritise the network usage per app and user on a network
The book answer is QoS but there is none. Bandwidth management is the only logical choice out of all choices. Bandwidth management as the name imply control bandwidth, it isn't just a netflow analyser.
According to the object 2.2 Bandwidth management
- Traffic shaping &
- Quality of service (QoS) falls under the bucket and if that's the case TS Set important applications to have higher priorities than other apps and QOS -
Quality of Service (QoS) is a set of technologies that work on a network to guarantee its ability to dependably run high-priority applications and traffic under limited network capacity.
The Waqhiyo is finally right.
